You need a toilet that you can trust to get the job done with no fuss.
You can’t pay an arm and a leg for your new toilet, and are more concerned with efficient waste removal than with conserving water or having a stylish bathroom.
You want to be able to trust that your toilet will get done what needs doing and look classy doing it, without drawing attention to itself.
Toto is the largest manufacturer, and has been trusted for many years to provide high-quality, efficient models for a reasonable price.
Toto has stood the test of time because the toilets it produces stand up to whatever people throw at them. Of Todo’s toilets, this model is one of the most robust, offering lots of power for the price.
The Todo Drake’s G-Max flushing system delivers powerful, commercial grade flushing performance to clear whatever is in the bowl. The Fast Flush feature offers 3 inch valves instead of the conventional 2 inch valves, so flushes are faster as well as more powerful.
The fully glazed trapway makes sure no stains are left anywhere on the bowl, while the vitreous china build withstands heavy use and helps prevent stains. This model is extremely comfortable to sit on, and the comfort height makes it easier for most people to sit down and stand up, although if you are on the shorter side you may find the comfort height too tall for you.
Is It Worth Your Money?
The Toto Drake is a powerful flushing machine, with its extra wide flush valves and G-Max flushing system, as well as a fully glazed trapway and strong siphoning power.
For the price, this is one of the most powerful flushes you’re going to find. If you want a toilet that is going to get the job done for the long term, this model might be for you.

Ease of Use & Reliability
Comfort height is good for taller people or people who have trouble getting up and down from the toilet, but it is not as good for shorter people.
It does such a good job of clearing everything from the bowl and powering through clogs that you can put your plunger away. The vitreous china build helps to prevent staining, as does the fully glazed trapway.
It is easy to install, weighing in at only 30 pounds, so even a homeowner who is not terribly strong will be able to install it.

For under $350 depending on features, it offers the best flushing toilet for the price. While you’ll give up some bells and whistles like a sleek appearance and ease of cleaning, if what you want is a powerful model for a good price, this model is a good deal.
Who Is This For?
If you hate to flush twice and want a unit that will powerfully clear the bowl without clogging, and fill back up with clear, clean water, then the Drake may be a good choice for you.
It may not be as good for a guest bathroom since the ridge on the inside of the bowl can give the effect that the toilet is dirty when it really isn’t, and since the flush is not as quiet as some other models it is not as good for central areas or only toilets in the house.
It offers customizable color and several customizable features, so if matching your toilet to your space is important to you the Drake is a good affordable choice.
This model is not as water efficient as some other models, since it takes a good deal of water to push that much power through, so if water conservation is more important to you than a powerful flush, it may not be your best option.
The Toto Drake offers a powerful toilet for an affordable price. The Drake is almost impossible to clog, and while it doesn’t offer as many features as some other models, to clear the bowl and not clog is the most important thing that can be asked of a toilet and the Drake delivers here well.
It will not conserve water as well as some other models, so it does not get as many points as far as saving money and helping the environment, but it takes a good rush of water to really clear a bowl, so where power and affordability are important this model is a great choice.
Other Options Worth Looking At
If you want to spend a little more for more security and better self-cleaning that what the Drake can offer, you may want to consider the Champion by American Standard. It will offer superior flushing due to its larger pistons and powerful water flow. Furthermore, the Champion offers more self-cleaning via its EverClean surface.
If you value water conservation and efficiency over power, Kohler’s Cimarron or Santa Rosa might be for you.
If you value a quiet flush above all else, one of Toto’s other models, the Entrada, may be the match for you, as it boasts an exceptionally quiet flush.
